Last updated: 7/28/2026. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your choices. We do not sell your personal data.

Data we collect

Account details (your email and login), the videos and source links you submit for processing and the clips/captions we generate, billing information, and usage and device/log data (pages used, approximate location from IP, and basic diagnostics).

How we use it

To provide and operate the clipping service, process payments and credits, provide support, keep the platform secure and prevent abuse, comply with legal obligations, and improve the product. We process this data to perform our contract with you and on the basis of our legitimate interests in running and securing the service.

Service providers we share with

We share only what's needed with the providers that run proclips: our payment processor (Stripe — which handles your card details; we never see or store full card numbers), our AI provider (Anthropic — which receives your video's transcript and sampled frames to select and describe clip moments), our hosting and database infrastructure, and, where you connect them, the social platforms you authorize (e.g. YouTube, TikTok, Instagram). Your content is not used to train public AI models.

Data retention

We delete the original source video as soon as your clips are generated. Rendered clips and project data are kept for a limited window — about 3 days on the free plan and 7 days on paid plans — after which they're deleted automatically, so download anything you want to keep. You can delete a project or your account at any time.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit, access is restricted to authorized systems and staff, and clip files are served via short-lived signed links. No method of transmission is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under GDPR and CCPA), you may have the right to access, export, correct, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can manage and delete your data from your account settings, or contact us to exercise these rights. We do not sell your personal information.

International transfers

Your data may be processed in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers.

Children

proclips is not directed to children under 13 (or 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect data from them.
